Make Selection With the Magic Wand

By: RiverCityGraphix      Views: 1932      Share: Bookmark and Share

In this tutorial, you will learn how to make selections using the magic wand tool.

The magic wand is a very easy tool to use for creating selections in Photoshop. The magic wand is able to select areas of color that are very similar. To grab up colors that are less similar you will want to adjust the tolerance to a lower level and vice versa. One element of the magic wand I did not mention in the video is the contiguous checkbox. With this checked you will select only colors that are touching and are similar. With this unchecked you will selected all pixels of that color or similar color throughout the entire image. This can be a helpful tip to know. Good luck using the magic wand tool in Photoshop.
